‘By the Way, Meet Vera Stark’ explores performance through satire and innovative use of space and media

Aden Karp (CC ‘25, Slasvick/Brad) is a freshman intent on majoring in Theatre. By The Way, Meet Vera Stark is Aden’s first departmental production. Aden received SAG recognition for his roles as Ned in Critical Thinking with director/actor John Leguizamo (2020) and as "Kobi" Reefa (2021). Aden has acted professionally in the film Pain and Gain, in Ballers on HBO, and in a promotional video for actor and comedian Mike Epps’s Live Tour. Aden’s prior theatrical endeavors include the portrayal of Gomez in The Addams Family, Willy Wonka in the play of the same name, Kenickie in Grease, Lord Farquaad in Shrek, etc.Aden is eternally grateful to the Columbia/Barnard Theatre Department for this opportunity, the unprecedented cast and crew for their concerted role in breathing life into By The Way, Meet Vera Stark after such a long hiatus from the stage for us all.
